Still, even adults might sneak in a game just for the soothing vibe—the puppy eyes are hard to resist. There’s no timer pressuring you either, so you can take it at your own pace. To be honest, after a few rounds the pictures do start to blend into each other a bit because it’s mostly kittens or puppies in different poses (which isn’t terrible… but maybe some variety would help). That said, seeing everything slowly come together piece by piece gives you that tiny spark of satisfaction every time.

I tried Cute Animals Jigsaw: Adorable Puppies and Kittens mostly because I figured the title was honest—it really is just dogs and cats being cute on every piece. At first I thought it would be painfully simple, but there were moments when finding just the right edge piece took me longer than I’d care to admit. The colors pop nicely (honestly pretty cheerful), though after doing a few puzzles in a row I kind of wished for at least one scene without fur everywhere. It’s interesting how chill this game feels compared to others—no timers messing with you—and yet my attention drifted once or twice since the challenge level stays very light throughout. Still, if someone wants something mellow to share with their kid or unwind for five minutes after work… it does what it sets out to do.
