Click to move

Description

You’d think moving pigs would be simple—turns out, it’s a lot trickier than you expect. Save The Piggies throws you into a strangely charming world where the main goal is to click each pig (and sometimes, their animal friends) so they get to the exit safely. No cars this time; just a herd of wiggly creatures waiting for you to direct traffic, so to speak. It’s interesting: some levels are a breeze, and then suddenly you hit one where every move counts and the order matters more than you realized. There’s this gentle challenge behind what first looks like pure silliness. Sometimes it gets oddly tense when you’ve almost herded everyone and then one pig gets stuck—oh, that part really matters, really. Don’t expect any wild action or fast reflexes here; pacing is kind of relaxed. You can take your time puzzling things out if that’s your style. I guess that makes it suitable for puzzle fans of all ages, maybe especially kids or anyone who likes animals (there are quite a few different critters as you progress). Some might find it repetitive after a while but—well, not everyone wants endless variety in these brain teasers. All in all, Save The Piggies quietly offers up its own blend of logic and whimsy.

At first glance I thought Save The Piggies would be silly fun—a real breeze—but honestly, it surprised me how much thinking was needed on later levels. Sometimes I’d find myself staring at the screen longer than I expected, trying to figure out which pig should go next so none get trapped at the back. There’s something oddly satisfying about clicking them forward and watching them march off in line (it made me smile more than once). Still, there were moments when the game dragged a bit—the repetition starts to set in after several stages with similar layouts. To be honest though, that laid-back pace can be nice if you’re looking for something undemanding. I wish there were maybe more types of puzzles or twists along the way. But for what it is? Not bad.
