Description

At first glance, Fairy Tale Find the Differences looks almost nostalgic—two side-by-side images filled with those classic fantasy details: castles, forests, talking animals. The task is simple on paper but not always so easy in practice. You’re supposed to study both pictures and pick out whatever is off—missing hat here, extra star there. Sometimes it’s obvious; sometimes you have to squint or lean closer than you expected. There’s no ticking timer breathing down your neck (which is actually nice), so you can take it slow or go as fast as your eyes can manage. For folks who get stuck—and honestly, everyone gets stumped at least once—the game offers hints. It’s interesting how some levels seem almost too easy until suddenly they’re not. Younger kids will like the fairytale art style; older players might just enjoy pausing for a few minutes to exercise their brain without pressure. I noticed that every now and then you’ll spot the same kind of difference twice in a row, which threw me off a bit. Not exactly repetitive, but there’s a pattern if you look closely enough. Well, patience does pay off in this one.

I spent more time on this than I meant to (that seems to happen with these games). At first I felt confident spotting every little thing—a missing petal here or an oddly colored window—but soon enough my eyes started playing tricks on me. One level had such tiny changes that I nearly gave up! Still, the lack of a timer takes away the usual stress most puzzle games bring. The fairy tale theme really works if you're into whimsical settings—I liked that part especially—but after several rounds things start feeling familiar. It could use some new scenes maybe? Anyway, it's fun for winding down after work or sharing with younger siblings. To be honest, it didn’t blow me away overall yet I’d probably come back just to finish them all.
